The Zambian Kwacha Music Awards 2025 has officially opened its nomination process. The awards celebrate the vibrant talents shaping Zambia’s music industry. This year promises to honor creativity, dedication, and outstanding achievements across various music genres.

Davies Kabuswe, Executive President and Chairman of the Kwacha Music Awards, said the committee handles the nomination process with utmost professionalism. Moreover, 45 selected radio stations across Zambia manage the nominations. This ensures a fair and transparent selection.
Kabuswe also warned artists about scams. He emphasized that no payment is required for nominations. Therefore, artists should be cautious of anyone requesting fees for consideration.
Collaboration with ZAM
In addition, the Kwacha Music Awards committee now includes two executive members from the Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM). ZAM President Brian Bwembya explained that this collaboration guarantees the interests of Zambian artists are well-represented.
Nomination Timeline and Ceremony
The official nominees for the Zambian Kwacha Music Awards 2025 will be announced on Friday, 12th September 2025. Meanwhile, the awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, 29th November 2025, at the Lusaka Music Club. The red carpet event starts at 18:00 hrs, followed by the main ceremony at 19:00 hrs.
